MIC TECH is the export company of the former Chongqing Optical Instrument Factory. The works built its first microscope, model 05, in 1958 with five staff. It now publishes 1,500 products in six divisions, from student microscopes to surgical, metallographic and histology equipment, and answers a one-piece order with a lifetime mechanical warranty.

The lineage

Sixty-eight years in five photographs the company already published.

1964. "Old pictures of the factory in 1960s." The works moves to Xiema Town, Beibei District, and in August 1965 its microscope passes the national test.

1978. The COIC brand is registered and exports begin: 106 microscope types to more than 30 countries in Europe and South-East Asia by 1988.

2010. Chongqing MIC Technology Co., Ltd is set up to run the factory's export business and registers the MEKEY brand. The head office building dates from the 1980s.

Terms, as published

One piece is an order. The mechanics are guaranteed for life.

The company's FAQ states OEM and ODM service with a minimum order of one piece, and a warranty "for the life of the instrument" on materials and workmanship for the original purchaser, with electrical parts covered for 90 days. Quotations are EX-WORKS with shipping quoted on request, by air, sea or courier. Small orders are paid in advance by T/T; larger orders 50 percent on order and 50 percent before delivery.
